Our Secretary General, Gian Clerici stresses the importance of Research Reports:
Why are Research Reports so important? EVERY single delegate will get to read them. 95% of all the information handled in each debate springs directly from the Report. That is why the quality of the Reports is directly proportional to the quality of the debate. Therefore it is extremely important that the Research Report is accurate: delegates assume that what the Chair writes is true, hence an error in the Report can mean that a resolution could be partially or totally wrong.
The Chair has therefore the triple responsibility to inform the Delegates (with the Report), to create debate (through lobbying) and to direct it.
Bear in mind that the Draft must be delivered by February 27th and the Final version must be submitted by March 4th.
