Hi! My name is Fiorella, but I go by Fio. I am a senior at the British Schools of Montevideo, and, alongside my partner Florencia, we are Heads of the Logistics team. You can thank me for the Women’s Committee, and this is one of the many ways in which I will try to make this conference as inclusive as it can possibly be.

I started my MUN journey three years ago in another school that had just discovered this activity. We were a very small and inexperienced group who was voted most likely to work at McDonald’s every conference. However, despite our inability to get the procedure right (or get up and speak for that matter), we still had lots of fun and waited patiently for the next conference to arrive. When I switched schools, I knew the first thing I had to do was join the MUN team. I was aware that they were much more experienced than my previous school, and was worried I wouldn’t catch up, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. This team helped me gain confidence and pushed me to participate more than two times in a whole conference, which made my passion for MUN blossom and led me to where I am today.

However, my whole life isn’t just debating and writing resolutions, I love drawing and painting and which gets me to express my creative side a bit more. I also love reading (please send me good book recommendations), but, let’s face it, nothing beats a good 24-hour sims marathon.

Unhealthy technology habits aside, I truly hope you enjoy this conference. We have put a lot of love and effort into the issues, making them fun as well as inclusive. I am really looking forward to meeting all of you, see you soon!
