STUDENT OFFICERS
Hannah
Hello Delegates! My name is Hannah Baker. I am currently a Sophomore at the International School of Panama in Panama City, Panama. I will be serving as the president of the United Nations Security Council in LAMUN this year. I was born in Colombia, but was raised in England and moved to Panama in 2017. My first MUN conference was in 9th grade, it being PANAMUN. I was a delegate for the UNDP and enjoyed it very much. Since then, I have attended 9 other MUN conferences from around the world, all online as a delegate, chair and secretariat member. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing basketball, and spending time with my family. MUN is a way to raise your voice and develop solutions to some of the world's most pressing problems. I ask that you respect your fellow delegates, chairs, and staff members and come prepared for a fruitful debate. I look forward to meeting you and if you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to reach out to me or my co-chair, Gregorio Pando!
Gregorio
Greetings delegates! I hope all is well. My name is Gregorio Pando Pöesz, but I insist you call me Greg. I am a Sophomore at St. Andrew’s Scott School in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I will be serving as Deputy President of the United Nations Security Council this year. This is my eighth conference since I started MUN in 9th grade, and my second as chair. My MUN beginnings took part in a fairly unconventional PRESS CORP committee at a San Silvestre, Peru, run MUN conference. That was where the MUN bug bit me, I knew I had to do it again. MUN, in my mind, teaches us to remedy the socially polarized environment our, and upcoming, generations have, and will be, subjected to. I have no doubt whatsoever that through civilized discussion one can get to know the other and understand them. On a personal note, I was born in Argentina but have since lived in Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Dubai. Traveling has helped me widen my vision of the world and how I perceive it. In my free time, I’m an avid reader, golfer, actor and writer. On a closing note, I do encourage you all to get involved, informed, and take risks.

Please respect your fellow delegates, and remember that this is a learning experience for all of us, so enjoy it to the maximum. I look forward to meeting you and if you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to reach out to me or my co-chair, Hannah Baker.
