STUDENT OFFICERS
Marcos
Hi delegates! I am Marcos Werning, I’m 16 years old and I go to school in Buenos Aires, Argentina at St. Andrew’s Scots School. I am an American with Argentine parents who brought me back to their home country in 2016. I have been doing MUN since 2020 and have thus far attended eight models, being a delegate in 6, chairing in two, and being a secretariat member in one. I enjoy swimming, singing in choir and participating in school clubs like Community Service and the Student Union. I hope that I can provide a great MUN experience to beginner and experienced delegates alike by guiding those who need it and giving more experienced delegates a space to develop their skills further. I hope you all read up on our issues and make sure that any questions or concerns you may have are addressed; for that you can use my Email or Whatsapp.

Our issues this year are related to cryptocurrency and tax evasion. For cryptocurrency, I would encourage you to delve into the issue and use this as an opportunity to explore the subject. Meanwhile, I would like for you to be extremely creative with the second issue and make sure that the debate covers all grounds. I will be handling the second issue and my co-chair, Sebastian, will be working on the first. However, feel free to ask me any and all questions. Above all else, in our Co-Secretary General Bautista’s words, “At least try” (Said to me about this introduction because it’s bland).
Sebastian
Hello delegates, my name is Sebastian Oestreicher and is my honour to be your chair this year. I was born in Chile and lived here my entire life. I'm 15 years old and in my free time, I usually watch TV, cook, or go to the gym. I love travelling and water sports like water skiing. I also like mountain skiing and jogging around my neighbourhood. I joined my school's debate club last year at the last minute- a decision I’ll never regret. Alongside my co-chair, Marcos, we are excited to meet you all and can’t wait to see you guys debate.
