I am Raffaella Laxalde, a 17-year old student from Uruguay, and will be chairing the UNICEF committee at the 2022 LAMUN conference.  My previous experiences as a chair in MUN conferences, and my experience researching as an article writer drove me to attempt participating as a chair in this year’s LAMUN conference. I would consider myself a reserved yet direct person, and pride myself in my opinions yet am open to argument and consider new perspectives. That is specifically why I enjoy chairing so much, because despite always having some opinion on topics, listening and interpreting the new positions that delegates eloquently present in debates enables me to further develop my understanding and personal take on a multiplicity of topics. Besides MUN, I have a variety of distinct interests, including gaming, cooking, playing the piano, reading, and inquiring about multiple topics in history, culture, and science. However, I am always open to new opportunities and attempting new experiences. I am eager to meet and work with the Student Officers and delegates that will be participating in the upcoming conference to ensure the best possible experience for all!
